Please add my name to the growing list of people who support the innovative Penobscot River Restoration Trust. Forged by business, citizen, conservation, state, federal and tribal interests, the project offers Maine an historic opportunity to restore once-abundant fisheries, maintain energy production, improve water quality, restore rich traditions and culture, and create recreational and economic development opportunities along the river. By removing two dams closest to the ocean, proposing to construct an innovative by-pass at a third, and providing the opportunity to increase energy at others, the project will restore a sensible balance between ecology, economy, and quality of life.
